Cortisone is a high profile, challenging and successful programme in the UK Defence sector for MoD. The end user community are the Defence Medical Services (DMS) an umbrella organisation within the Ministry of Defence in the United Kingdom, which organises all medical, dental and nursing services within the British Armed Forces.

We are looking for an Azure Cloud SME to work within a SAFe Agile team designing and delivering the migration of a secure, Microsoft stack based On Premise to a secure Azure Cloud environment.

The role will be well suited to a senior infrastructure architect / engineer with extensive Azure and system migration experience. This is a full time role based in either our Leatherhead or Reading office.

Our roles are only available if you hold or fulfil the criteria to obtain a UK Security Clearance.

Your future duties and responsibilities
- Provision of technical leadership on Azure services, and migration approach to Agile team
and customer representatives
- Provision of technical leadership on Azure services, and migration approach to Agile team

- Leading the discovery of environment components, configuration and performance
characteristics for existing on premise environment
- Working with the Agile team architect to produce architectural designs for equivalent Azure - - Cloud hosted solution (and any required interim system requirements)
- Apply best practices for Azure Hosted solutions,
- Ensure security principles are applied to migration strategy
- Migration of network components, configuration, services and servers to Azure Cloud
environment
- Diagnosing and fixing of issues throughout migration process
- Assisting with the development of automation scripts for migration process
Producing documentation as required.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Azure Solutions Architect certification
- Experience as solution architect for Azure hosted solution-v
- Server build and maintenance (Windows) experience
- General platform knowledge (SAN's, McAfee, Netbackup, WSUS, etc)
- Strong leadership / people management skills
- Provision of infrastructure using Powershell and JSON
- Strong understanding of security principles required for secure migration to Azure
- Implementation of Government Secure systems using AZURE IAAS components would be
advantageous.
- Experience of NVA e.g. F5 Fortinet Cisco Etc.
- SQL (Preferably SQL Server)
- Experience of Agile/Sprints and/or the software development lifecycle
