Position Description
At CGI Federal's Emerging Technology Practice, we are looking for Cloud DevOps Engineers to deliver IT excellence and create innovative solutions in the Cloud in our Lafayette, LA development center. Work with fellow AWS and Azure Architects and Engineers to form the best minds in cloud solutions and give innovative solutions to our clients. Your future duties and responsibilities
Candidate is expected to provide repeatable solutions, thought leadership and delivery excellence for CGI set of core solutions. The DevOps Engineer should be able to execute architecture blueprints and bring it to reality. Build and configure build plans, code pipelines and create automated solutions that can be framework’ed and re-used. Finally, the candidate should become subject matter exports and evangelize the latest technologies and tools to provide better efficiency and solution to other team. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in government or commercial IT consulting
Communicate in a DevOps environment with your team, managers, business units and stakeholders.
Embrace and focus on emerging technology and evangelize to the rest of the team
Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment knowledge and experience is a must have
Understanding of Agile, DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is strongly desired
Needs to have the ability to develop and contribute in an IaC environment while working seamlessly in a distributed team via collaboration tools
Must own ability to learn fast, adapt to new technology and keep current with industry certifications
Knowledge in Puppet/Ansible is highly desirable. May be able to substitute with Chef related knowledge.
Docker and containerization knowledge is preferred
Additional Nice to have:
Terraform, Consul, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, microservice architecture, CloudFormation/ Azure Resource Manager, Python, Atlassian Suite products like Jira/Confluence/BitBucket/Bamboo

The following Azure Certifications are highly desired; significant hands on experience may be substituted:
o Certified Developing Azure Solutions (70-532)
o Certified Implementing Azure Solutions (70-533)
o Certified Architecting Azure Solutions (70-534)Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
FedRAMP, NIST and FISMA compliance, ATO and security compliances.
