AI Champion
Warszawa, POLAND
Job description
Position Description:
We are looking for an AI Champion to join the team responsible for developing the Egeria product family (ERP systems) and play a key role in transforming our products and processes through Artificial Intelligence.
Egeria is an extensive portfolio of enterprise-class ERP systems developed and used by large organizations, including public sector institutions. Our solutions include both long-established systems built on Oracle technologies and modern architectures based on Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and microservices.
The scale of our products creates unique challenges. Our solutions comprise dozens of microservices and very large code repositories, with individual components containing up to millions of lines of code.
Our ambition is to use AI not merely as a tool supporting individual tasks, but as one of the key elements in the continued transformation of Egeria products and the way we design, develop, deploy, and maintain them.
We are therefore looking for someone with broad knowledge of modern AI technologies and, most importantly, hands-on experience applying them to real-world challenges.
The AI Champion will be responsible for identifying areas where AI can deliver tangible business value, designing and prototyping solutions, selecting appropriate technologies, and coordinating their implementation together with product, development, implementation, and maintenance teams.
We are looking for someone who can combine technology expertise, practical AI experience, and a strong understanding of software development processes, while helping the organization move step by step from experimentation and Proofs of Concept to solutions used in everyday operations.
If you are interested in having a real impact on how a large product organization adopts Artificial Intelligence and in building AI solutions for large and complex enterprise systems, this role may be a great fit for you.
We prefer a hybrid working model from one of our offices.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Co-creating and executing the AI strategy for Egeria products, including identifying areas with the greatest business and technological potential.
• Coordinating AI initiatives across the entire software lifecycle – from requirements analysis, design, and development through testing and deployment to system maintenance and DevOps support.
• Designing and implementing solutions leveraging LLMs, AI Agents, RAG, and other modern AI technologies.
• Exploring approaches to applying AI to very large codebases and complex IT systems, including selecting appropriate mechanisms for code analysis, indexing, and providing relevant context to AI models.
• Expanding the use of AI throughout software development, including existing code analysis, code generation and modification, code review, refactoring, solution documentation, and developer support.
• Developing effective approaches to applying AI both to modern technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and microservices architectures, and to solutions built with Oracle Database, PL/SQL, and Oracle Forms.
• Advancing AI-assisted test automation, including test scenario and test case generation, results analysis, and identification of potential regressions and defects.
• Identifying opportunities to apply AI to deployment and implementation processes, including customer requirements analysis, system configuration, data migration, and documentation.
• Designing AI-based solutions for system maintenance, including service request automation, incident analysis, and the gradual automation of first-line support.
• Building AI-powered mechanisms to monitor and analyze legal and regulatory changes, identify their potential impact on Egeria products, and support teams in determining required software changes.
• Analyzing and transforming internal Egeria team processes using AI, including competency development, knowledge management, documentation, and CI/CD processes.
• Creating Proofs of Concept and AI solution prototypes to rapidly validate their potential before production implementation.
• Evaluating available AI models, frameworks, tools, and platforms and recommending solutions best suited to our needs.
• Defining AI solution architectures and approaches for integrating them with existing products, code repositories, knowledge bases, and tools used by our teams.
• Collaborating with architects, developers, testers, consultants, maintenance teams, Product Managers, and stakeholders responsible for individual business areas.
• Building AI capabilities within the organization by sharing knowledge, mentoring, running workshops, establishing standards, and promoting best practices for the effective use of Artificial Intelligence.
• Monitoring developments in AI technologies and translating new technological capabilities into specific use cases and tangible business value for Egeria.
• Co-creating principles for the safe and responsible use of AI, with particular focus on information security, intellectual property protection, the quality of generated outputs, and the use of AI in enterprise-class systems.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Strong, hands-on knowledge of modern Generative AI and Large Language Model technologies, with practical experience building solutions based on language models.
• Hands-on experience building solutions, particularly large-scale distributed solutions, using RAG, AI Agents, tool/function calling, embeddings, vector search, and context management techniques.
• Experience applying AI across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), particularly in software development, testing, code analysis, or application maintenance.
• A very good understanding of modern software architecture and how large enterprise-class systems operate.
• Experience working with large code repositories and an understanding of the challenges involved in applying LLMs to extensive codebases.
• Knowledge of approaches for efficiently providing context to AI models, such as semantic search, code indexing, embeddings, AST/code parsing, knowledge graphs, or other mechanisms for working with large code and documentation repositories.
• Proficiency in at least one widely used programming language and the ability to independently build an AI solution prototype.
• Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and microservices environments would be a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of Oracle Database, PL/SQL, or Oracle Forms would be an additional advantage.
• Experience with enterprise AI platforms and services, particularly Microsoft Azure / Azure OpenAI, or other leading cloud platforms.
• Understanding of information security, data privacy, governance, and the responsible use of AI within organizations.
• The ability to translate technological capabilities into specific business use cases and assess their value, cost, and feasibility.
• Independence, initiative, and the ability to lead initiatives from an initial idea through experimentation and Proof of Concept to production implementation.
• The ability to collaborate effectively with both technical teams and business and product stakeholders.
• Readiness to act as an internal AI expert and ambassador, not only proposing new solutions but also helping the organization successfully implement and adopt them.
• Very good command of Polish and sufficient English proficiency to work confidently with technical documentation and collaborate in an international environment.
