Context and work environment:
CGG is looking for a generalist HR for the Middle-East region; the role is located in our Abu Dhabi office. Middle-East is a Region of around 140 people across four countries. This is a great opportunity to start a career for a self-driven, autonomous and outgoing HR.
This is a stand-alone HR role in the Region; therefore, you will have a broad range of responsibilities. You will receive solid support & mentoring from your manager based in the UK and the rest of the EAME team, all looking forward to onboarding a new talented member.
Abu Dhabi is a small office, about 30 employees, all coming from different countries and background. There is an outstanding working environment. Our employees locally would present Abu Dhabi as “a modern, tolerant and welcoming city offering an active urban life and plenty of outdoor activities suitable for both young professionals and families.”
Poste et missions:
HR contact for all employees including local contracts and expat.
HR Operations :
- Ensure compliance of contracts, practices and policies with local regulations
- Advise managers, HR and employees on payroll topics
- Contact for absence management system
Local HR Business Partner:
- Support & advise in the local implementation of the specific HR strategies for each Business Line
- Support the local and regional managers for people topics related to the business operations
International mobility :
- Key stakeholders in the International Mobility network – escalate and cascade information and new policies
- Support locally the expat for the topics related to their assignment
- In-between with home country and host country payroll
Responsible for the local implementation of the Group HR cycle
- Performance review & Objective settings
- People review and development plans
Learning and Development
- Collect employees’ training needs and coordinate the training plan implementation with CGG University
- Ensure HSE trainings are available and taken
Compensation:
- Lead the salary review and bonus cycle for the Middle-East countries
- Provide local analysis
Recruitment
- Source directly or through local agencies candidates for jobs
- Support the local management in building or sustaining good relations with local universities
- Lead the HR interviews
Ad hoc projects for Corporate or SI EAME HR
Profil:
- Master’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
- First work experience or long internship/apprenticeship as HR generalist or specialist (C&B or L&D)
- Outstanding service focus & Customer orientation, in identifying and understanding the needs of the stakeholders, in providing holistic analyses including risks analyses and in giving qualitative and prompt answers to them
- Excellent relations skills with an ability to adapt to the environment and to people, ability to listen and good communication skills
- Ability to build quickly a remote network
- The successful candidate should also be able to demonstrate high level of self-motivation, as well as the ability to learn quickly and work autonomously
- Outstanding work ethics
- Being fluent in English
