In Viridien, the Insurance Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the Group's risk management initiatives. This position ensures appropriate insurance coverage is in place to align with the Group's and Business Lines' risk appetites, while providing support to internal customers. The role also involves maintaining relationships with insurers and brokers, managing claims, issuing insurance certificates, coordinating insurance programs, and supporting bid reviews.
Key Responsibilities
Insurance Program Management:
- Assist in negotiating and purchasing insurance coverage to protect Viridien's risk exposure under optimal financial conditions.
- Coordinate the renewal of 35 insurance lines, including international programs spanning 70 local policies.
- Review policies and endorsements to verify they align with negotiated terms.
Claims and Compliance Management:
- Oversee the management of insurance claims and ensure timely monitoring of indemnity settlements.
- Collaborate with brokers on daily matters, including certificates of insurance, insurer requests, invoices, and local compliance for international programs.
Risk and Contract Support:
- Work with the Legal Department and Business Lines to review insurance and liabilities/indemnities clauses in bids and contracts with clients and suppliers.
- Propose innovative and alternative solutions to optimize insurance budgets.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Coordinate with 23 insurers and 4 brokers to maintain an appropriate level of coverage and ensure policies benefit the entire Viridien scope.
- Facilitate the deployment of local policies within international insurance programs by collaborating with brokers and local teams.
Data Collection and Analysis:
- Gather and update underwriting data for renewals and adapt policies as necessary to reflect current risks and exposures.
- Ensure access to accurate, up-to-date information to maintain effective insurance coverage and support claims processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance (or related field).
- 1-2+ years of experience in an insurance role within a company or brokerage firm.
Key Skills & Experiences
- Negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong organizational, creative, and adaptable mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in an international business environment.
- Knowledge of cultural and business contexts in different jurisdictions.
- Proficiency in both French and English.

- Legal background to support contract and liability reviews.
