Senior Web Developer – C#, SQL and .NET

Our client is looking for a Senior Web Developer to work within a team of 7 highly skilled software developers. Based in High Wycombe (but moving to Maidenhead), you will be responsible for the full software development life-cycle of line-of-business applications, customer-facing web platforms and systems integrations within numerous sectors, including the finance sector.

Role Overview:

• Delivery of enterprise-quality software solutions on Microsoft Platforms and integrations with a variety of technologies and environments
• Analysis of business requirements and delivery of solutions within expected project timescales
• Design of software solutions which adhere to in-house architectural principles
• Following in-house policies and procedures for change, testing and release of new software
• Production of technical documentation to support all stages of the Software Development Life-Cycle
• Provide Production/BAU support on deployed software where required
• Reviewing existing systems and processes and generating ideas for improvements

Professional Requirements:

• 7+ Years Software Development Experience
• 3+ Years Software Development Experience in Financial Services
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of Object Oriented and Service Oriented Design and Development
• Extensive knowledge of Software Design Patterns and SOLID principles
• Proficient in C# Programming with extensive knowledge of .NET Framework
• Experience delivering large-scale, low-latency Web Services and APIs with a solid understanding of REST, SOAP, JSON and XML
• Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and Application Life-Cycle Management
• Experience delivering Software using Agile/Scrum, DevOps and Continuous Integration
• Proficient in Database Development on MS SQL Server with extensive knowledge of T-SQL, and relational data modelling
• Front-end Web Development using ASP.NET MVC, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery
