QA Technician (Food processing)

Job description

My client, KTC Edibles Ltd, are seeking a QA technician to work at their head office site in Wednesbury, West Midlands.

As part of a small technical team, reporting into the Technical Manager, the successful candidate can expect to carry out the following duties:

Core duties

• Liaise directly with all relevant parties on product specifications and discrepancies.

• Support in managing and responding to customer / consumer complaints.

• Perform quality checks on incoming goods and finished products as required and spot checks on equipment and products, maintaining appropriate records.

• Ensure all products are produced and packaged in accordance with agreed specifications, and relevant legislation.

• Evaluate and maintain quality systems in place through scheduled internal audits of both documentation and the facilities.

• Promote technical and quality standards in line with both company and customer specifications.

• Ensure that premises, plant, equipment and personnel hygiene are maintained at the highest standards, throuh the application of structured audit programme

• Support in managing customer walk-rounds, internal and external audi preparation / delivery

The ideal candidate will have:

• Attention to detail

• Ability to deal with a complexity of products

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Experience in a similar role within a food manufacture environment

• Experience with auditing (internal/external) is preferred

• Knowledge and experience of HACCP is preferred
