This is a fantastic opportunity for a Test Analyst to join the Digital Quality Assurance Test Team within British Gas. You will report to the Test Manager and be responsible for the Business acceptance testing for all daily content change, email campaigns, tariffs and microsites on the British Gas website.

You will be responsible for ensuring an exceptional online customer experience, through managing the business test and sign off process and assisting in the transition of releases into the live environment. Making sure the correct test process is carried out and reported on. In addition to you provide support across Digital operations.

You should have a passion for web site user interfaces, and be eager to be deeply involved in the sign-off of new functionality. Experience of web testing, particularly usability testing; web development and web standards compliance is required.

What will you be doing?

· You will supporting the Digital Quality Assurance QA Test manager to deliver a full testing service ranging from daily content changes, email campaigns, new tariffs
· Be fully involved in the requirements and early planning stages of the project
· You will review and provide feedback on the UX designs
· Liaising with Legal, Stakeholders and Product Owners to ensure that content /copy is correct
· Attending daily stand ups to receive updates from the rest of the team and provide updates
· Working and maintaining a close relationship to clarify requirements with both CMS/ Email Teams and Product Owners ensuring a quick testing turn around
· You will undertake the required testing to ensure that the service delivered meets requirements
· Cross platform and Browser Testing
· As well as contributing towards continuous improvement of the testing framework for the delivery of testing service
· Raising, tracking, owning and re-testing of defects

To be brilliant in this role you have have/be

· Proven experience and success in a similar role
· Experience of managing, planning and prioritising workload
· Previous experience of front end usability & compliance testing / Web testing
· Defect Management and analysis using ALM • Experience of the software testing lifecycle
· Knowledge of various types of testing techniques and methodologies in particular Waterfall and Agile

In addition;

· You would have good business knowledge, in terms of structure, systems, processes and procedures.
· Excellent organisation skills with high attention to detail
· You will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills both written and verbal
· Be capable of flexing under pressure
· Have excellent problem solving and negotiating skill
· Your style will be of quality and you will have a thorough approach to work
