Overview

The SAS Developer’s main role is to maintain and develop core team systems and functions including the SAS-based Prevue planning and reporting; and deep dive insight analytics, working collaboratively with the full Planning Team

This role is based in our Stockport office

The Role

·  Maintain and build additional SAS DI Studio jobs to construct a coherent, near-optimal plan for the next 54 days that allows us to meet evolving business priorities including but not limited to Customer Promise delivery; high engineer Output; and Annual Servicing Visit planning.
·  Enhance SAS DI Studio jobs to align with changing business priorities, SLAs etc. Ensure the continued use of the automated plan within the Planning Team.
·  Utilise other data tools such as SQL, Business Objects, SAP, Access, Excel and VBA to enable data extraction and manipulation; and provide executive / operational summaries.
·  Own work streams within large-scale IS projects to deliver increased planning accuracy.
·  Create prototype planning tools for use within the wider tool using emerging technologies, e.g. a web app using DeloyR.

Education

·  Degree educated – preferably in a numerate discipline

Certifications 

·  Any SAS certification (desirable)

Work Experience

·  SAS Data Integration Studio; MS Office VBA (expert)
·  SAS Enterprise Guide; Base SAS; SAS Macro; UNIX shell scripts; R; Javascript (some experience would be desirable)
