Overview

British Gas are currently looking to appoint a sales administrator for their team in Oxford. The sales operations administrators work within the Admin Support team and are responsible for the pre and post sales admin that takes place when we on boarding a new or existing customer successfully.  Sales operations administrators are required to ensure that a first point price offer has been created on time and is ready to be sent to the customer by the bid submission date.  They will send the price as directed by the Sales Manager ensuring that if we win the deal that the post sales admin is completed in an accurate and timely manner and is reflected internally by updating the relevant systems. The role will require you to communicate with the pricing team to ensure that deadlines can be met and prices can be sent to the customer on time.

The Role

You will be responsible for creating prices using our internal systems and the information that has been provided by the Sales Manager/ Customer and Tender Control Team. You will also be required to work closely with the pricing team to manage tender requests that are more complex or have a short turnaround time. Further responsibilities include:

·  Ensure that there is a valid and current credit check in place before providing a price and raising where contract values do not match credit checked volumes.
·  Creation of prices by populating pricing tools with customer information and uploading on to internal systems resulting in bespoke contract offer. Liaising with internal teams including pricing, complex products and contract Live when required in order to complete tenders and projects efficiently. Work on all types of tenders to understand the different products that we offer.
·  Manage tender requests by gathering all necessary information through liaising with brokers, customers, third parties, and sales managers which will include data cleansing and portfolio validation, to enable Offer Creation to create an initial contract offer.
·  Create accurate RFQ’s and bespoke opportunities within Salesforce ensuring that duplicate requests are not logged.
·  Creation of an initial credit check for all potential business Liaising with Internal Teams including pricing, complex products and contract live when required in order to complete tenders and projects efficiently.
·  Maintain and manage the RFQ inbox ensuring that queries are answered within 24 hours.

The Person

We are looking for someone who has an excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft office suite (including intermediate level Excel). You must also have excellent telephone skills and a strong attention to detail. It would also be an advantage if you are familiar with SAP and Salesforce systems and have a prior knowledge of the Energy industry
