Job description

We are a leading importer and trader of canned goods and ambient products for the UK foodservice, manufacturing and retail sectors. Based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. We are a family-run and owned business that is complimented by a dedicated and experienced team with an uncompromising commitment to quality, backed by a highly responsive service.

Our current vacancy is within out shipping team. You will manage inventory levels in line with demand and arrange shipping as required to ensure stock continuity. This role involves problem solving on late shipments, delayed containers and resulting factory claims to a satisfactory conclusion. You will arrange spot buying of products to cover out of stocks. You will also review stock for slow moving lines and liaise with account managers to ensure stock is sold prior to being out of date. A significant part of you processes will be based on excel spreadsheets and so you need to be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.

The hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 5.00pm and Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm, with half an hour for lunch. We offer 22 days holiday plus statutory holidays. On site parking is available.
