Castle Graig is a 35 bedded Care Home situated in a tranquil suburb of Swansea which offers Residential, Nursing, Specialist and Respite care.

This would be a great opportunity for a smart, passionate and motivated RGN who would join a friendly and supportive management team that is actively making a difference to many lives. In this role, you would not only influence the delivery of care to residents but would have an opportunity to support healthcare colleagues in their professional learning and development.
Our management team is very friendly, supportive and willing to work alongside you as you progress in your career. We would support your progression into Leadership & Management at a STEADY yet COMFORTABLE PACE with mentoring from our Home Manager, Business Manager and the Company Directors. Although some experience in the care home setting is preferable, we would welcome less experienced applicants with the correct right attributes. The job provides dedicated admin time, protected training leave (with funding) and opportunities to develop your subspecialist skills in areas of personal interest.
You will play a central role in delivering the very best holistic care to our residents. As you share your knowledge and experience, this will not only benefit the residents but will also inspire and lift your healthcare colleagues - thereby automatically promoting a cultureof excellence in the workplace.

Experience
- Minimum of two years as RGN (essential) with some Care Home experience (desirable)
- Experience delivering high quality relationship centered care
- Exposure to managing Dementia (desirable)
Skills/ Qualities
- A passion to empower, support, motivate and eventually lead a clinical team (essential)
- A desire to develop leadership and management skills and work as a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An appreciation of managing dementia
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Main Duties

Work alongside the Manager to ensure that the philosophy of the nursing home is promoted

Help supervise staff and rotas to enable the smooth and efficient running of the clinical team

Assess resident needs, plan, implement and monitor evidence-based individualised care

Promote a culture of learning and continuous quality improvement within the nursing home
-
Work with families and health professionals to achieve full integration in the nursing home
-
Liaise with the Local Authority and other professionals associated with the nursing home
To develop and maintain good relationships and communications with relatives and carers to facilitate day-to-day caring needs
