Cargill Texturizing Solutions has a presence on five continents and products are produced in 31 plants worldwide.

Zaandam is one of the four lecithin production facilities within Cargill Texturizing Solutions. The facility was constructed in 1992 as a joint-venture between Pieter Bon and Lucas Meyer. The Zaandam factory selects, standardizes, purifies and blends lecithins from Brazil, India, US and European origin. These products are sold globally to technical, Feed, Food, Infant and Pharma applications. There are three dedicated production lines, one for GM-lecithin, non-GM lecithin and one for Sunflower lecithin’s. Zaandam has a dedicated team of around 20 professionals, including an on-site Quality and laboratory department.

For our laboratory in Zaandam we are looking for an enthusiastic:

Laborant and QA Coordinator

Job content

You will be both responsible for daily analytical testing and assisting the QA Manager on daily base.

Performing analytical testing (chemical and microbiological) on raw materials and end products, to safeguard processing and release of our products through Quality Control. You will carry out sampling, testing, measuring, recording and analyzing of results as part of a scientific team. Besides that you will back-up the QA Manager and take over some daily tasks of the Manager QA.

Principal accountabilities

Lab accountant abilities:

• 
  
  Collection and analysis of samples from raw materials, in -process- controls and end products.
  
  



• 
  
  Interpretation of test results and positive release of products.
  
  



• 
  
  Issuing and communicate customer information like Certificate of Analysis, Certificate of Compliance, external test results.
  
  



• 
  
  Verification and calibration of equipment, internal and external.
  
  



• 
  
  Execution of the environmental monitoring program.
  
  



• 
  
  Above mentioned includes any other duties as administration of paperwork, test results, documents, sample sending to external laboratories or customer samples.
  
  

QA accountabilities:

• 
  
  Executing daily QA tasks, for example maintaining the Quality Management Systems, Customer handling, Complaint Handling and audit guidance.
  
  



• 
  
  Back-up for the FSQR manager.
  
  

Qualifications

• 
  
  MBO with working experience in a Quality Control or similar laboratory environment (MLO, Chemist or Food Technician) or HBO degree in Chemist or Food Technician.
  
  



• 
  
  Knowledge on regulations and safety aspects.
  
  



• 
  
  Good communication skills, in Dutch and English.
  
  



• 
  
  Self starting and structured person, high focus on regulations, discipline and safety.
  
  



• 
  
  Show ability to explain, teach & gain knowledge.
  
  



• 
  
  Ability to inspire others, good interfacing with different levels in the organization (from engineer, staff to safety managers).
