Senior SAP Retail Consultant with a strong retail industry background, responsible for leading design and configuration streams within complex SAP solutions.
Reporting to the SAP Retail lead, the candidate should be confident in leading large multi-functional projects with challenging business process design. They should be able to undertake analysis of user and business requirements and produce appropriate business and/ or system design, with realistic and deliverable expectations. The candidate should be comfortable with system configuration and system integration to other modules/ third-party applications. Communication, both written and oral, should be of a high standard as the role may involve facilitating workshops and the subsequent generation of documentation such as Blueprint requirements, functional specifications, etc.
The candidate should be comfortable managing and motivating resources (onshore and offshore), delegating, monitoring, and giving feedback in a structured and balanced manner. The candidate may need to work on multiple activities/clients at the same time, acting as a solution expert and trusted advisor as appropriate.
The candidate should be familiar with the latest SAP product portfolio such as CAR, FMS, PMR and F&R and the innovation therein and, if required, demonstrate package insight and recommendation.
We are looking for candidates with the following key skills:
- Excellent consulting skills a pre-requisite
- A strong retail background
- Experience with working within a global delivery model
- Previous stream lead experience
- Very credible personally – based upon past and current experience
- Strong relationship/ stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence decision making process (this is a client-facing role)
- Mobile: this is a 100% mobile that can include international travel
- A team player that functional consultants can look up to for guidance and experience
- Appreciation and understanding of the broader technology products (non-SAP) within the retail sector, and integration possibilities and approaches – especially with Store Systems, the Multi Channel Retail world and the latest customer-centric innovation
- A desire to assist with pre-sales activities – having an ability to flex between this and delivery
