Job description
Functional Consultants within Capgemini’s Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) practice must be able to fulfil a combined delivery role and support business development efforts, playing a key role in both client engagements and the support of sales opportunities. Furthermore every consultant is expected to be an active participant and contributor in both the internal and external community. A key emphasis of this role is also on market knowledge and understanding of new technologies so as to establish both a point of view and capability to act in an advisory capacity to help clients realise the benefits of such developments.
Functional Consultants typically fulfil a “Configuration/Business Analyst” role on client engagements. The Functional Consultant is generally one of the key client facing members of the delivery team on a SaaS implementation project. The Functional Consultant has responsibility for all or part of the design and delivery of the Salesforce solution, including the configuration and data model design, customisations and extensions, architecture and interfaces. The Functional Consultant needs to be highly consultative and organised, working effectively with both client stakeholders, the Solution Architect and the development team to scope, analyse, design, develop and deliver a quality solution closely aligned to business requirements and project objectives.
Consultants can be called on to contribute in sales meetings and presentations and are able to demonstrate SaaS solutions to clients and prospects with confidence. All members of the ECS practice are expected to be able to develop strong client relationships, instilling credibility and legitimacy with management.
Engage with client stakeholders to analyse business processes and functional requirements in the context of Salesforce.com
Devise and develop the solution design and architecture
Assist in the development of the interface strategy and data migration strategy
Develop and deliver quality solution design documentation, and oversee the development and review of other design deliverables
Support and engage with the development team during the build stage, working individually with developers to drive out and capture detailed design
Lead the configuration of the Salesforce solution
Demonstrate the solution to the client at regular intervals during the build
Support unit testing, system testing, and acceptance testing activities
Assist in training and change management activities, including the development of training materials and the delivery of training sessions
Provide support and expertise to achieve a successful deployment of the solution.
Experienced in the use of delivery methodologies, and previous experience with Off-Shore / On-Shore project delivery
Ability to facilitate workshops and conference calls with confidence
Excellent presentation and demonstration skills and the ability to present ideas effectively
Ability to clearly communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
Experience of working in a consultancy environment is an advantage
Solid subject matter expertise in Salesforce.com
Able to demonstrate a solid understanding of the SaaS solution technology stack and associated tools
Proven CRM implementation background, Service Management / Sales Force Automation preferred
Ability to deconstruct complex business processes to produce simple, efficient, and effective results
Knowledge of data migration in a package implementation
Successful candidate is likely to have a minimum of 2 years experience in CRM enabled IT transformation
Certified in at least Salesforce.com 401, Sales and/or Service cloud level
Solid subject matter expertise in Salesforce.com
Able to demonstrate a solid understanding of the SaaS solution technology stack and associated tools
Proven CRM implementation background, Service Management / Sales Force Automation preferred
Ability to deconstruct complex business processes to produce simple, efficient, and effective results
Knowledge of data migration in a package implementation
Successful candidate is likely to have a minimum of 2 years experience in CRM enabled IT transformation
Certified in at least Salesforce.com 401, Sales and/or Service cloud level
Recent successful delivery of Business Change projects from inception through to delivery to agreed cost, timescales and quality
Experience of fulfilling a functional role on a full lifecycle Salesforce implementations
Proven ability to architect innovative solutions which deliver value to clients
Ability to work in an advisory capacity, identifying opportunities to implement best practice and to help clients realise the benefits of SaaS and cloud technology
Solid understanding of the complexities and integration dependencies across multiple solutions
Good knowledge of CRM solutions and tools to enable provision of integrated solutions
Salary Range: £22,000-£115,000
