We are looking for experienced Project Managers and the primary role is to take responsibility for managing Oracle  based engagements which embrace all aspects of business design, functional and technical build, business acceptance and solution implementation.
 
Increasingly our Oracle Projects span geographic borders and include offshore delivery, and it is therefore important that the candidate has experience of managing dispersed and multi-disciplinary delivery teams and of managing sub-contract and international resources. 
 
In addition, the role also encompasses a level of pre-sales responsibility including the development of winning propositions for enabling clients to meet their business requirements.
To work as part of the Engagement Management group within the Oracle Delivery Unit in Capgemini. Individuals will be placed on delivery assignments in any sector and manage projects of varying size and degrees of complexity, from single small team assignments to multi-site, multi-discipline projects, or even act as mentor for client project managers.
Typical Activities:
Our projects often contain a blend of Capgemini, client and contract staff and include a range of different stakeholders.  We are looking for candidates, with experience of managing package based solution delivery projects and can satisfy the following:
 
All aspects of Project Management using OUM
Definition, scoping and planning of one or more projects
Compliance with agreed methodology and process
Project structuring
Business Change Implementation
Upgrades as well as new implementation
Roll-out design and management
Working with package based  and customised solutions
Project audits and assurance reviews
Person Profile
- Essential qualifications, experience, knowledge:
Excellent Communication skills
Flexible about work content and location and able to work independently with the client on site
Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) or having extensive experience
Proficient in the use of Project Management tools
A formal qualification in Project Management
Leadership and mentoring of own team leads and teams
Knowledge of Oracle applications and technologies beyond EBS
Recent successful delivery of IT related projects from inception through to delivery to agreed cost, timescales and quality       
Cross sector experience
Management of at least one major client engagement and familiarity with the business and commercial aspects of relationship management
Experience of distributed delivery particularly through the use of an offshore centre
Clear experience of requirements design, configuration/build and implementation
Project ownership
Excellent presentation skills and the confidence to present to a client in both sales and delivery situations.
Flexible about work content and location and confidence to work independently with the client on site
Have or be able to obtain UK Government security clearance

Able to build productive client relationships at all levels and identify and develop opportunities for new business
Building, leading and motivation of own and client staff
Within Capgemini to demonstrate confidence and capability that they are in charge and are alert to all aspects of the engagement they are managing

Delivery to time and budget
Demonstrably managing within the constraints and construct of the contract
Control of scope and managing to the contract
