Alongside Application Services, Cloud Infrastructure Services and Capgemini Consulting (CC), Core Services is one of the major UK business communities. Core Services is home to business specialists who support the UK business and the global teams based in the UK. Its aim is to provide both the processes and framework that underpin the business and specialist expertise to support initiatives.
This is a key role and has a broad range of responsibilities to deliver Learning & Development to the UK business. It will be a combination of delivering an L&D service to Core Services together with involvement in UK L&D projects and ownership of the delivery of the bi-weekly company induction with overall people management responsibility of the induction co-ordinator.
Core Services (CS) Learning Business Partner
Core Services is an area of enabling specialists, with 9 varying specialist streams, all with very specific L&D requirements to support their continuing professional development
- CS Stakeholder Management – Trusted Advisor to the CS business on all matters relating to L&D, strategic and operational
o To work with each of the professional stream leads, the CS CEO and the CS HR Business Partner (HRBP) to create an overarching L&D Strategy to meet the differing needs of the business
o Work with the CS HRBP to identify priorities for learning, provide solutions, implement appropriate communications and activities to support these, and report outcomes
o Work with the CS HRBP & 9 professional stream leads to advise on internal and external offerings available for the continuous professional development of their team members to aid creation of meaningful personal development plans
o Provide breakdown and analysis to the CS CEO and the 9 stream leads from reporting on training undertaken, hours and spend invested against CS budget and development targets for CS employees
o Inform and engage re schedules of upcoming global programs available locally – actively promote with CS Mgmt Team and manage participant engagement
o Attendance at CS Management Team meetings to provide regular updates on Group initiatives and analytics of learning from data reports

o Provide L&D input to regular Core Services newsletters and deliver ad hoc messages to CS employees as required
- As Core Services L&D Business Partner, you will be part of a wider UK L&D team. One of the team’s objectives is to bring unity of the L&D service across the UK and to drive continuous improvement. This will require involvement and ownership of various team projects in addition to the daily LBP role.
Company induction (BeInspired) delivery
- Accountability and ownership of the organisation and delivery of the bi-weekly induction in London
- Accountable for budgets and costs.
- Responsible for keeping material and content up to date and engaging.
- Responsible for sourcing facilitators and training new facilitators from the business
- Key Facilitator on the induction day and responsibility for owning the schedule of Facilitators
- Provide briefings for VP speaker.
- Management responsibility for the Induction coordinator for the BeInspired and the Graduate BeInspired inductions.
- Provide regular updates to the Induction SPOCs throughout the business
- Build relationships with the SPOCs and support them in owning key areas on the induction such as providing panel members and VP speakers
- Provide support and improve the business specific induction in line with the corporate induction.
- Work on continuous improvement of the BeInspired induction using feedback.
Must have a passion for learning and development, a good understanding of how it can support strategic business objectives, and be able to plan and deliver initiatives accordingly. Confidence and excellent communication skills are essential, as this role will specifically involve talking to people at all levels. You should have a proven ability to manage your own time effectively and meet tight deadlines, and a pro-active approach to challenges and problems solving.
