As a Business Analyst (BA) you will be responsible for business analysis activities on projects and programmes of all sizes. You will be able to understand our client’s business needs and be able to creatively shape and refine BI solutions to meet those needs. In guiding and advising clients to help them develop and refine requirements, you must be able to quickly establish your credibility with client staff at all levels.
- Strong consulting skills gained through at least 4 years of consulting in a global consultancy or similar, ideally in both business development and delivery roles. Experience in Public Sector, Utilities or retail would be advantageous
- BCS Diploma in Business Analysis or similar preferred
- Working with stakeholders and business users from the customer to elicit, capture, analyse, refine and communicate / document their requirements.
- Representing the customer (acting as a proxy) in support of the delivery teams throughout the project
- Representing the technical team in communication with the customer about the project delivery
- Providing support to architects, designers and developers in the definition of technical solutions
- Working with User Experience and Information Architects in the definition of Customer Journeys and the production of wireframes and prototypes
- Validating / verifying that the functional and non-functional requirements are appropriately implemented within the solution.
- Assisting with the estimation of timescales, resources and planning to successfully deliver a project.
- Be a contributor to the creation of best practices through the identification of reusable project assets
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the latest IT trends, best practices and technologies
- Experience of consulting and delivering BI Strategy and/or Process re-engineering engagements preferable
- Previous experience of projects utilising any of the following products:
o ETL: IBM, Informatica, Microsoft, Pentaho or Mulesoft
o Data: MSSQL, Oracle, Greenplum or Teradata
o Analytics: SAS, SPSS, R
o Visualisation: MSBI, PowerBI, Tableau, Qlikview or Cognos
- SC or DV cleared preferred. Candidates without clearance will be expected to gain at least SC during their probation period.
Whilst you may have any of our UK offices as a base location, you must be fully flexible in terms of assignment location, as these roles may involve periods of time away from home during the week at short notice. We offer an excellent remuneration package to include flexible benefits and bonus dependent on the candidate's competency, skills and level of expertise.
