About the EUS practice and offers:
My Experience is a portfolio of interrelated service offerings focused on delivering a centralized, flexible workplace and responsive, adaptive support for a superior user experience. Simply put, it transforms traditional IT into an outstanding business experience. My Experience focuses on optimizing the two critical areas that directly impact the user’s experience: the workplace, which includes the devices, applications, and data people use in their day-to-day jobs; and the support services provided by IT, including the service desk and on-site/desk-side support.
Capgemini has created two broad categories of service offerings to address these areas: My Workspace, which provides a single portal through which individual users can access any IT service, from any device, at any time, from anywhere; and My Support, a series of offerings that bring a new level of choice and flexibility to user-centric support. Each of the offerings can be implemented separately, but each complements and adds value to the other offerings.
This is a client facing, SME and consulting role, which requires good presentation and communication skills as well as good technical capabilities. Successful applicants will be required to work at client and Capgemini sites across the UK and occasionally abroad for the duration of contracts.
The End User Practice requires demonstrably experienced SMES or consultants with good previous knowledge.
The successful individual will:
- Provide SME and infrastructure consultancy services to our clients.
- Provide input to the design of End User based solutions as a recognized subject matter expert.
- Provide input to bids and assist in presenting proposals to potential clients.
- Provide input to and/or create specialist points of view for the market and where appropriate present at industry events.
- Bring thought leadership and innovative solution ideas to existing clients and bids alike
- Work with Customer Managers, Senior Architects, Solution Designers and senior levels on client site.
The candidate must have and be able to demonstrate strong consultancy knowledge and practical experience in the general areas of
- Strong knowledge of End User Computing:
5 years experience in EUC.
10 years experience in Information Technology.
- Infrastructure strategy.
- End User Technologies.
- Infrastructure security.
- Automated, policy-based, infrastructure management solutions .
In particular, the candidate must have detailed practical experience in
- Design of End User computing solutions using multiple technologies.
- Excellent knowledge of Citrix products.
- Excellent knowledge of one or all of the following; Windows 7, 8 or 10, SOE (including SCCM) and Office 365.
- Appreciation and understanding of common infrastructure technologies. (Including but not exclusively Windows Server and VmWare).
In addition the following would be of advantage:
- Experience with or awareness of enterprise architecture methods such as IAF, or TOGAF.
- Awareness of ITIL IT Management concepts.
Essential:
- Fast learner.
- Good people and conflict resolution skills.
- Used to managing on work and also working as part of larger teams.
Education and Qualifications
BSc/BEng in engineering, computer science, physics, information technology or related field or equivalent. Also relevant infrastructure certifications.
