Job Purpose and Summary

A six-month fixed-term contract for a Strategic Translation Technologist. In this role, you will own, process and manage Terminology and Translation Memory assets enabling translation quality of localised deliverables. You will advise on all aspects of Terminology and TM work and evolve the strategy and process.

·  Own and manage terminology and TM assets.
·  Handle terminology queries during the project lifecycle.
·  Liaise with Project Managers, National/ Regional Sales organisations and external translation vendors.
·  Perform quality checks of deliveries from 3 rd party vendors.
·  Fully understand and be conversant with all aspects of Terminology and TM management
·  Advise on all aspects of Terminology and TM work
·  Monitor industry advances in translation technology and processes and evolve the strategy when appropriate
·  Communicate the strategy & process to internal and external customers

Experience in the localisation industry with particular focus towards terminology management
Thorough understanding of translation and terminology tools, specifically SDL Trados & MultiTerm
Experience of defining processes and procedures and their implementation
Ability to create process documentation and reports for internal and external use
Experience with Machine Translation
Experience of dealing with 3rd party vendors/clients
Able to communicate clearly and effectively
Linguistic ability preferred
Exceptionally good attention to detail
Ideally educated to degree level in a linguistic or computer related discipline
