Job Purpose and Summary
The Service Architect is a key member of the core Canon team engaged with the client, tasked to win large MPS opportunities. Within this process the Service Architect will be responsible for aspects of commercial and legal negotiation concerning service delivery and SLA levels. Through ongoing client consulting engagement, including assessing, designing, and developing MPS Architecture Solutions, the Service Architect will be responsible for profitably delivering the service infrastructure of the Managed Service.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Liaise with, inform / support BDM’s & Marketing Services / Tender Team using the Tender Road Map & to establish real MPS opportunities showing the short, medium and long-term actions needed to achieve the MPS business / financial objectives.
Support business development and sales efforts together with the Business Consultant’s with a focus on constructing Revenue / Cost Models, writing tender proposals, scoping, pricing and final presentation to the client. Proposals will be created using the standard MPS Product Descriptions, Service Level Agreements and legal schedule control documentation.
Discover and Assess the opportunity to provide maintenance and support design solutions to Customers, understanding the customer requirements and proposing the right service levels, delivery model and fully detailed costs.
Strategically, design & transition with the client, ITiL governance based operational & procedural standards in conformance with contractual obligations and Canon / external quality indicators.
Is the subject matter expert for all Hardware / Software maintenance & Support services across the range of technologies and manufacturers supported. Contribute to the development of new resilient and repeatable services & cost models for UK Managed Print Services Solutions.
Investigate, evaluate & implement compliant MPS business processes and solutions in accordance with Security, Health & Safety and other Environmental standards and industry guidelines (eg ISO 20000)
Where design dictates partnerships with third party service providers and competitors, the Service Architect will engage and ensure all underpinning contractual conditions are finalised.
Liaise & work closely with the clients own internal IT Service delivery and Facilities Management teams to embed Canon MPS services & solutions within the clients own business processes.
Design the strategies and actions needed to develop the customer relationship within assigned accounts. Promote the marketing of additional Canon products & services to Managed services customers to ensure long-term growth of account revenue/margin streams and profitability.
Ensure business terms and payment terms are industry standard and favorable to Canon's corporate goals of Invoicing and collections - ensure the process in order that invoices are sent, received, processed and paid as per contractual terms
During Transition provide a robust solution handover process including contractual operational & cost briefings to the BAU CSM

Salary - £47,508 to £50,148 + 20% bonus (OTE) + company car/car allowance

Desired profile
Essential
Educated to Further/Higher Education level and/or substantial experience in Corporate service delivery or key account management.
Strong Service Management Architecture skills with a focus on ITIL Service Management process automation.
Knowledge of; Configuration Item and Asset Management; Fleet Monitoring and Event Management technologies; Varying Service desk applications; Customer Relationship and consulting methodology.
Compliance familiar in Health & Safety legislation, ISO14001, ISO20000, ISO27000
Industry services and product knowledge,
Proven track record in Service Level Contract Management & Account Financial Management.
Minimum of 5 years in the IT / Services industry, 2 of which have involved the delivery or development of support & maintenance services for large clients
Excellent verbal, written communication & presentation skills with the ability to deliver and negotiate at C level.
Significant travel may be required.
Desirable
ITiL qualified, minimum Foundation, Strategy, Design, Transition, Operations & CSI.
