Job Purpose and Summary

As an Operative you will play a key role in providing an excellent service and meeting our customers’ requirements. You may be based on a customer site, working with them closely to enhance their information and document management, or you may be based at one of our production facilities which involves working as part of a large team and dealing with high volume documents and high speed equipment.

You will have an opportunity to produce a high quality service to our customer, in line with their specifications, whilst meeting time constraints (SLAs). To inform your Line Manager where extended deadlines with customers are necessary, with recommendations of actions required to resolve the problem. Prioritise work, taking into account technical requirements, workload, and delivery requirements and to maximise the department productivity.

Inform your Line Manager of overall workload and progress on completion of key work. Use own initiative if your Line Manager is not available. produce high quality work to customer specifications, while meeting customers time constraints. To negotiate extended deadlines with customers if necessary.

Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of the capabilities and limitations of equipment and undertake delivery duties as and when required, in order to meet client deadlines. 

Demonstrate pride and professionalism in all facets of customer service, and take ownership for all work personally produced.  

Accurately complete required records of work carried out and support the Document Services Manager/Team Leader to introduce service enhancements and developments.
Respond to customer requests and enquiries in a prompt and efficient manner, meetings demands pro-actively where possible. To communicate with clients consistently and by understanding their needs, promote the services being offered. 

Self Development is important at Canon and you will be encouraged to take further training to develop your skills in this role through the support and guidance of your line manager

Good written and spoken English
High level of attention to detail
Experience in reprographics or production work an advantage

This role is demanding and needs someone who can work to a high level of attention to detail at all times. Using your excellent communication skills you will need to communicate effectively to Canon’s customers as needed and across internal Canon departments.

Further Information

Salary - £15,141 - £15,983 pa plus £250 bonus

Location -Warley, Essex

Hours of work  - unless stated the hours of work are core business working hours, Monday to Friday and no weekends
