Job Purpose and Summary
Canon Europe is going through a marketing transformation program in order to create and develop its direct marketing & data intelligence capability. The Consumer Imaging Group is focused on developing a relationship with its consumers and leveraging it to grow understanding of the base and optimising marketing opportunities for Canon imaging products and services. This encompasses developing the organisation's ability to collect, analyse and apply in its decision-making customer, pro-sumer and consumer data.
As part of this exciting transformation, we are recruiting for a CRM Data Analyst to drive and manage base marketing activities in Europe.
• You will be responsible for delivering Canon’s direct communications activities. This includes data planning, analysis and reporting, covering campaign and Canon customer base analytics.
• You will be the primary contact for Analytical support across EMEA (22 National Sales Organisations -NSOs), coordinating, prioritising and executing queries from the markets.

• Campaign analytics for NSO marketing activities. In line with campaign and proposition briefs identify target customer segments within the base. Advise stakeholders on the business case and asses each campaign in terms of its contribution to Canon’s business marketing and individual campaign objectives (e.g. lens offer, cashback promotion and accessories campaign). Feedback on performance of campaigns and initiatives, make recommendations for improvements.
• Canon’s customer base insight generation and opportunity identification for NSOs. Using segmentation, data mining and modelling identify opportunities for targeted communications, offers and services. Liaison with product, trade, marketing, commercial, legal teams and third parties to bring new base propositions to market (e.g. business case for an insurance product or extended warranty)
• Performance measurement and reporting. Create and maintain NSO CRM KPI dashboards. Pulling information on base status, key segments, key marketing activities and levels of base engagement to make it easy for local teams to identify areas that need addressing and areas of opportunity for tactical activity.
• Data strategy, capture and db management. Define business and technical requirements to develop our analytics capability across all markets e.g. data strategy and governance, cleaning, data augmentation and capture including event and offline registration management.

• Act as credible SME for digital CRM (predominantly B2C)
• Detailed understanding of optimization of program targeting and design
• Have knowledge and experience in applying customer behavioral segmentation solutions to deliver relevant messages and message content
• Contribute to CRM development strategy creation and execution
• Have strong acquisition marketing experience - knowledge of targeting, converting and engaging customers
• Proactively support other departments such as digital, merchandising and production management with their understanding of the CRM objectives.
• Act as a source of professional expertise and have principal accountability for continuously evaluating models, systems and sources of information, mitigating potential for risk and ensuring fit for purpose
• Experience in CRM data planning and data query management in retail/ eCommerce and telcos/utility/finance sector
• Experience with general marketing - creating content and collateral
• Experience analyzing and reporting on online digital/ offline campaigns
• Knowledge of CRM software (SalesForce, Microsoft Dynamics, etc) and analytical software especially Access, Excel, SQL, SAS
• Analytical and process driven with an attention for detail
• Have experience of creating data strategies that drive commercial benefit
