Job Purpose and Summary
Exciting opportunity for a Marketing Services Architect to take ownership for the eCommerce and Content solution as part of the major digital transformation Programme which focuses on the B2C business.
Content refers to and includes Product Information Management, Content Management (including Publishing) and Digital Asset Management as well as other related business processes and systems.
This will include activities such as - define, maintain and drive implementation of the target domain architecture and give guidance to project teams in solution design and delivery compliant with the target architecture.

Actively support and consult all projects within domain as a member of the project design authority PDA
- Lead the PDA in case the assigned domain is leading, or participate in the PDA in case the domain is supporting
Lead or support creation of project architecture direction in the vision statement of new initiatives:
- Lead creation of "architecture direction" in case domain is leading
Stakeholder communication:
- Work closely with business stakeholders (e.g. Generation business sponsors, business process group) and develop an intimate understanding of the business value chain and business processes
- Ensure business and IT stakeholder sign-off as-is and target domain architecture
Own, define and maintain as-is and target domain architecture (for a 7 year horizon) aligned to business and IT priorities
- Ensure domain architecture consistency across the various initiatives/projects supported by the domain
Own, define and maintain a roadmap to achieve the target state for the domain. Work with business and IT stakeholders to define and align a portfolio of projects to deliver the roadmap. Sponsor new projects with significant architectural impact through approval in the Architecture Board.
Lead the solution architecture definition and technology development roadmap translating client business requirements into fit for purpose solutions.
Review as-is domain architecture and identify and action areas for improvement
Integrations, Customisations and Interfaces:
- Align with other architects, be single face to the delivery teams for all solutions on integrations and landscape

Business skills
· Commercial awareness of key business drivers within domain
· Extensive experience working on eCommerce projects involving physical delivery of goods. The candidate should have deep understanding of the underlying architecture that supports such an enterprise.
· An understanding of how Content Management systems can support eCommerce and / or marketing channels will be advantageous
· The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Sales, Marketing and Service architecture, and have extensive understanding of eCommerce, digital marketing, MDM, integration, migration, web infrastructure, functional & technical design and development, configuration, testing and release management
· It is useful but not essential if the candidate has worked with Oracle ATG ( platform we are implementing) / IBM Commerce Tridion/Adobe CMS, Opentext or similar technologies
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Fluent English, both written and spoken. Other European languages preferred.
Technology skills
· Experience in both waterfall and agile projects
· Professional experience will all aspects of an IT project from design through development, testing, implementation, and production
· Professional experience with key applications and technologies in Digital (, Sales, Marketing and Service, and Content Management, DAM and PIM)
· Awareness of relevant technologies in the wider industry, and their strengths and weaknesses
· Professional experience with all aspects of an IT project from design through development, testing, implementation, and production
· Advanced expertise in EA frameworks (TOGAF preferred) and standard technologies (e. g. SOA) and modeling environments (e. g. UML)
Communication skills
· Strong written and spoken communication and presentation skills in English
· Ability to persuade and influence key stakeholders
· Gravitas to be taken seriously by Business and Technology stakeholders
· Ability to explain complex technical issues to non IT-experts
Analytical skills
· Strong analytical and conceptual skills, being able to see the "big picture"
· Quantitative analytical skills to evaluate the costs, benefits and other measurable features of potential options
· Strong business and result oriented thinking
Leadership skills
· Gravitas to be a trusted advisor for business and IT sponsors and other stakeholders
