Job Purpose and Summary

Canon UK and Ireland, based in Reigate, Surrey is keen to build a pipeline of  talented credit control professionals, who are seeking full time opportunities, contract and/or permanent and have the experience of handling credit control issues  with business clients.
We are seeking all levels of professionals including Credit Control Team Leaders, to support roles when they become available.

The Credit Control function is to ensure the collection of outstanding debts within agreed credit terms is carried out and for credit controllers we give you the opportunity to minimise bad debt and maintain customer satisfaction through effective account management and to support and liaise with team leaders and the wider credit control team. You will have the opportunity to display your communication skills as you develop strong relationships across different business areas across Canon, as you handle customer queries effectively.
Your problem solving skills will help you provide an excellent customer service as you work with others to help resolve issues and be able to escalate issues if required.

You will need to have previous credit control experience, responsible for a portfolio of your own clients in a business to business setting.
Your effective communication skills, verbal and written are required, as is the ability to help in the preparation of legal packs should this be required and a good understanding of the litigation process that support this, would also be beneficial.

As a team member, the team encourages support, whether that is learning more about the role through team members or providing training to new recruits.

Previous experience in business to business credit control essential.

As a Team Leader, you would need to have experience in managing a team of credit controllers in a B2B setting.

You will need

You will need to understand your customer, showing empathy but assertive as appropriate and will need to have excellent planning and organistional skills as you focus on the customer and take ownership and accountability for your responsibilities.
Your communication skills will be finely tuned which will allow you to demonstrate your strong negotiate and influencing skills.

Further Information

The role is based in Woodhatch, Reigate, Surrey.
