ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT – GRADUATE OR PART QUALIFIED AAT - £13000 - £15000 - BASED WARRINGTON

Established in 1997, this business pioneers and leads the market in state-of-the-art CCTV solutions for retail, banking, transport, healthcare, Government and general commercial applications. The business has plans for further growth, and is in the process of adjusting to new routes to market, whilst at the same time protecting the current level of business.

A graduate or part qualified AAT is now required to assist with preparation of the monthly management accounts, monthly reporting and other daily finance activities.

MAIN DUTIES – ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll be required to undertake:

- Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts (using Sage Line 1000 and Sage Line 50) and preparation of other spreadsheets and reports
- Cash book, bank reconciliation and petty cash
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
- Purchase ledger processing including invoicing, statement reconciliations, resolving queries and making payments
- Assistance with sales order processing

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED – ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to demonstrate:

- A degree in a business or finance discipline or be AAT part qualified (or equivalent)
- Some experience of working in an office ideally in a finance related discipline
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel to intermediate or advance level
- Good skills with Sage Line 1000 and Sage Line 50
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with people at a range of levels
