Job description

STUDIOCANAL is a subsidiary of the CANAL+ Group. It is one of Europe's leading companies in the market for co-production, acquisition, distribution and sales of international feature films and TV series. STUDIOCANAL is the only studio which operates simultaneously in three main European territories
- France, the United Kingdom and Germany
- as well as in Australia and New Zealand.
The company distributes a total of more than 50 films a year.
Additionally, STUDIOCANAL owns one of the most important film librairies in the world, boasting more than 6,500 original titles from more than 60 countries. including 6,000 films for whom the company is responsible for the custody as well as restoration. It also manages the sales of rights to those films, notably for remakes.

Desired profile

This role encompasses financial analysis, commercial analysis and ad-hoc special projects for Studiocanal Australia and New Zealand.
- Prepare royalty reports including Film Licensor Statements and Intercompany Participations for Manager review, on a quarterly / bi-annual / annual and as needs basis.
- Organise royalty payments and ensure Non Resident Withholding Taxes (NRWT) are correctly calculated and paid within the appropriate timeframe.
- Assist the Management Accountant and Finance Manager with all aspects of budget, reforecast preparation
- Assist Management Accountant with release format business analytics and preparation of presentations of findings for management and group executives
- Assist with preparing, administering and monitoring financial data used in group information systems including Essbase and the Magnitude HO Consolidation Package (including the input of monthly financial information into Magnitude)
- Assist with the ongoing maintenance and update of the data in the Ultimates system for reporting and forecasting. This includes monthly updates, amortisation calculations and post theatrical release analysis.
- Assist with the update and maintenance of rolling forecasts (actuals vs forecast) for Home Entertainment and TV sales.
- Assist with the preparation of ECF Documents in support of the theatrical P&A spends by film by territory
- Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis requests from CEO, CFO & Department Heads
- Assist with adhoc information requests from our Paris office
- Act as backup support for members of Finance team as and when required in particular be fully conversant with the AP / AR and GBO Invoicing roles.
