Job Title: Administration Intern

Reporting to: Head of Administration

Hours: Ideally Monday – Friday 09:00 until 17:30 (37.5hrs per week)

Salary: The position is a voluntary, unpaid position, for an initial period of three months, with a stipend available to cover local public transport expenses and lunches, and if successful, a following three months paid (minimum wage).

Camfed is a fast-paced and award-winning charitable organisation, based in Cambridge. It is dedicated to fighting poverty and HIV/AIDS in rural Africa by educating girls and encouraging women to become leaders of change. Camfed is seeking an Administration Intern to support the running of our office in Cambridge and fundraising for our work in Africa. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to gain a wealth of knowledge on how an international organisation operates.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

The Administration intern will undertake a range of activities that are integral to Camfed’s work, from day-to-day administration of a busy office to supporting event coordination, donor communication and community fundraising initiatives.

The intern’s role is vital to supporting the day-to-day activities of the Camfed International Team. As Camfed’s newest intern you would:
• Be the first point of contact for visitors to Camfed and support the day-to-day running of the office working closely with the HR, Individual Giving and Administration teams.
• Provide general administration support including: ordering office supplies, quotations for travel requirements, data entry to ensure our donor database is accurate and up-to-date, research and profile donors, correspondence with our supporters and suppliers and support in preparing small proposals and reports to donors.
• Process donations on a daily basis, including responsibility for donations received through the post, and support all donation administration including thank you letters.
• Assist with the planning and support of fundraising events.
• Provide support as required for other priorities across Camfed’s Administration and Individual Giving Teams or, if needed, to support other teams where necessary.

• Up to date IT experience, particularly Microsoft Office
• Eligible to work in the UK
