Data Visualisation Internship

Looking for a summer internship where you can visualise data in new and interesting ways? Cambridge Intelligence could be the place for you! We’re an award-winning technology startup based in Cambridge and can offer an exciting opportunities to work on a really cool visualisation technology.

You will work with our research and development team to visualise and analyse real customer data. We’re looking for new interesting ways to present and gain insight from complex, dynamic and large graph data. You will get the opportunity to gain real practical experience in research, analysis and hands-on development activity, while working in a dynamic start-up environment.

As an intern you’ll work in our multidisciplinary team and get to really understand how we create practical commercial solutions. We will mentor you throughout your internship, answer any questions, and treat you as a full member of our team.

Our Offer:

As a Cambridge Intelligence Data Visualisation intern you will be given the opportunity to produce new and innovative ways of visualising and interacting with data sets from the real world. You will receive mentoring from our team and learn about producing quality commercial solutions. We're a startup, so you'll get to experience everything that goes into our product: the code, testing, marketing, sales, documentation, customer support, and user interface design.

Our Package:

• You'll work about 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday
• You'll receive £350 per week
• You'll start in June, for a minimum of twelve weeks over the summer holiday.

The job is based in Cambridge, and you must be eligible to work in the UK.

Desired profile

• An undergraduate or post-graduate degree
• You'll have good coding knowledge, and strong skills in a scripting language, ideally JavaScript
• Some understanding of web technologies
• Experience of building user interfaces in any language
• Experience of (at least) one data visualisation project, possibly using D3 or another toolkit
