CALA Homes (North Home Counties) Ltd are recruiting for a Surveyor to join their team based in Welwyn Garden City. You will report to the Commercial Director and will act as development surveyor for a number of developments in line with company procedures, industry best practice and legal requirements.

Responsibilities will include the preparation of budgets and appraisals, appointment of main and sub-contractors, monthly cost reporting and other traditional pre and post contract responsibilities expected of a Quantity Surveyor in the private housing sector.

Ideally you will have some experience of working in a similar role for a house builder or developer. You will be recently qualified to HND or degree level and be capable of critiquing/value engineering civil and structural engineering solutions.

The role will be varied and deadline driven, so excellent prioritisation and organisation skills are essential. You should be self-motivated and pro-active with the ability to meet strict deadlines. It is essential that you have excellent communication skills and are a competent user of MS Office products and databases. Knowledge of SAGE/SiteStream is beneficial.
