Poste et missions

The Alternative Investment Research Analyst (VIE) will assist in conducting investment and operational due-diligence, covering both regulated and unregulated funds (mostly hedge funds, CTAs, private equity and real estate), focusing on the US fund managers. Assigning proposed credit ratings and recommendations for all business lines of Natixis involved in trading with or investing in the funds.

Main responsabilities :

·  Evaluating fund managers including the initial screening, qualitative and quantitative analysis;
·  Conducting on-site meetings with fund managers and/or via conference/video calls;
·  Conducting the strategic and operational due-diligence of funds, peer group analysis, background and reference checks, third-party service providers due-diligence;
·  Documenting in writing due-diligence reports and recommendations;
·  Participating in developing of house views on fund strategies and styles. Contributing to the production of the periodic strategy reports;
·  Attending fund conferences and events organised by the capital introduction teams, consultants and fund managers;
·  Contributing to the development of the internal tools for the quantitative and qualitative analysis;
·  Providing assistance to the trading, structuring and sales teams in relation to the funds, as and when requested.

Profil et compétences requises

You have already obtained a Master's Degree in Quantitative Finance or Financial Statistics.

You have basic knowledge of the US regulated fund and alternative investment industries, including legal, operational, and investment management aspects.

You possess strong technical skills, proficiency in Excel, and programming skills in Python.

You have basic knowledge of macroeconomics and the drivers of asset class performance.

Knowledge of the European or Asian regulated fund and alternative investment industries is a plus.

You have excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to write structured analytical and technical reports in English.
