The Market Risk Department provides independent oversight across the Americas Platform. Led by the Head of Market Risk Americas, the group covers Rates, Credit, Equity, Securities Financing, FX, and Commodities Risk Management. The primary objective of this position is the monitoring of traded and forward Risk for the Interest Rate desks, which include Swaps, IR Options, Government Bonds, Latam Rates, and Municipal GICs. This Executive Director-level role involves the identification, analysis, and monitoring of the portfolio’s market risk exposures while working alongside the business as the second line of defense.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage a team of seven.
· Produce required daily market risk reports.
· Analyze, understand, and comment on the variations in different risk indicators daily. Provide insights on main risk evolutions and any notable events weekly and monthly for the activities primarily covered.
· Ensure that all risks are accurately captured by the risk systems and models, and understand key risks and stress scenarios.
· Review the appropriateness of the limits framework and related controls.
· Lead or participate in all projects related to Rates, ensuring timely implementation and global coordination.
· Respond to Front Office requests for new business setups via the New Products Committee or through the instruction of non-standard transaction requests.
· Contribute to the development of support documents for local and Head Office Market Risk Committees.
· Interface with internal audit, Head Office inspection, multiple bank regulators (including the ECB, Federal Reserve, and New York State), and follow up on their recommendations.
· Lead initiatives to enhance P&L/Risk processes and systems using VBA, Python, Power BI, and other technologies.
· Maintain constant communication with the Front Office and Market Risk Management teams both in New York and at Head Office.
· Perform ad-hoc analyses of current desk risks, including requests for non-standard transactions.
· Present market risk materials to senior management at the Market Risk Committee.
The salary range for this position will be between $200,000 - $250,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
