The Economic Research team located in New York is seeking an Analyst to provide analytical support in building databases and models, working closely with senior members of the US research team. In this role, the Analyst will coordinate efforts with the Research teams of economists and strategists based in London, Paris, and New York.

 

The successful candidate will be part of the Natixis CIB Research Team, led by the Global Head of Research CIB, and will collaborate with other economists and key business units to deliver insightful economic analysis.

 

·  Develop and maintain macroeconomic databases for the US and Latin America.
·  Conduct inter-market analysis based on macroeconomic trends, finance, and financial asset specifics for the US and Latin America.
·  Identify correlations between asset classes, exchange rates, and equity markets in collaboration with other strategists on the Research Team.
·  Continuously monitor macroeconomic and financial developments.
·  Manage forecasts of the global economic environment and prepare reports detailing its impact on markets and the yield curve for client presentations.
·  Develop insightful thought pieces on current economic conditions in the region with a long-term perspective.
·  Ensure that the economic outlook is well understood within the business and assist in framing strategies and ideas.

 

The salary range for this position will be between $100,000 - $120,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.

Profil et compétences requises

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Data Science, Finance, Math, or Physics.
• One year minimum experience in economic analysis or related field or market practician, advanced analytical and modelling capabilities.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, programming languages (such as Python) and other relevant statistical software (mainly Eviews).
• Work experience at international/regional organizations a plus.
• Dynamic presentation skills and ability to present insightful content to business leaders and clients, and publicly at conferences and in the media.
• Highly effective communication skills with ability to inspire others.
• Strong commitment to consistent delivery of the highest quality outputs, with deep technical understanding and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders, including at the most senior level.
