The Scheduler is responsible for overseeing all Elevator quality assurance/ quality control inspection activities at Bureau Veritas' client locations. The Inspection Coordinator must have significant knowledge of the contract requirements and the scope of services to be provided in relation to the relevant equipment and materials.
The successful candidate will have a proven record of QA/QC inspection coordinator responsibilities preferably in the elevator maintenance/ inspection or other industrial maintenance services markets. They will have extensive experience with the coordination of activities in fulfillment of a contract, a clear understanding of different service scopes, and general knowledge of applicable codes and standards. They should have the ability to identify and recommend inspectors suitable for assignments. The Inspection Coordinator will work closely with Area Managers, Clients, Inspectors and Vendors and therefore should display strong interpersonal skills highlighting communications excellence and professionalism.

Major Responsibilities:
Perform inspection coordination in accordance with the Bureau Veritas' written practice.
Daily management of contracts through accurate instructions towards the Inspectors.
Analyze, prepare and validate the criteria for the inspection to be done.
Coordinate and schedule inspection assignments to client facilities, and issue inspection assignments to certified inspectors.
Monitor production/ inspection schedules as required by individual client contract scope.
Communicate regularly and maintain positive relationship with key stakeholders.
Execute any other tasks as requested by his supervisor.
Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Job Requirements:

Associates or Bachelors degree (preferred) with 2 to 5 years of QA/QC inspection coordination experience of equipment and materials, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of or previous experience with elevator maintenance or inspections, or other industrial maintenance services.
Knowledge of or ability to quickly obtain specifications on various state and municipal Inspection Codes and ordinances/ standards.
Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced, highly demanding environment.
Ability to obtain and analyze data, and utilize to develop and implement processes to drive efficiency.
Excellent communication skills with high level of English proficiency, both written and verbal.
Proven negotiation skills, with the ability to make and drive quick, sound decisions.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Strong math and analytical skills.

Computer Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, document and database software (MS Office, Excel, Access, Adobe Acrobat). Knowledge and use of ERP systems (Deltek, Oracle, etc.) desired.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and work with computer systems for extended periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 20 pounds. The vision requirements include: ability to adjust focus, distance vision and close vision.
