UX intern & App developer

Job description

We are currently looking for an intern with coding and developer skills to help us build an ibeacon app (using Estimote beacons) with a UX-friendly interface, in addition to learning UX consultancy skills.

This is what you will get to do:

Work on a diverse range of projects from web to mobile, tablets and beyond
Work with iBeacons and wearables: you will be part of a small team creating a white label mobile application that works in conjunction with Beacon technology, researching, creating and testing the minimum viable product
Develop your skills and knowledge on a wide range of user experience projects such as expert evaluation, usability testing, research to develop customer insight, persona development, information architecture and interaction design
Work with and learn from experienced UX consultants and a front-end developer

Desired profile

Who are you?

Qualified to at least degree level in HCI, psychology, design, computer science or similar subject
Essential skills required:
Either: Knowledge of PhoneGap framework: JavaScript, CSS, HTML
OR: experience with xCode (iOS) and/or Android
Most importantly you will have a demonstrable passion for gathering customer insight and using it to improve/create excellent customer experience
Enthusiasm for the IoT and coding apps
Manage your own time and stick to deadlines
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Be a problem solver with attention to detail
Experience with Office applications (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Outlook)
