We are a major supplier of high quality costume jewellery to a global market and due to continuing success, growth and demand we are looking to recruit an Assistant Jewellery Designer to further enhance our dynamic team.

Join the team
We require a talented, creative individual with a commercial eye and at least 2 years’ experience in the field of jewellery design or costume jewellery design. Good drawing and sketching ability is essential along with experience of rendering designs in Photoshop and Illustrator and an understanding of costume jewellery manufacture in the Far East would be a distinct advantage but is not essential.

You must be able to produce mood boards and regular trend reports using online and competitive shop research and be expected to take initial ideas and concepts through to sample stage. You will have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a team environment and to tight deadlines.

About the role
As Assistant Jewellery Designer you will support the Senior Designer to capitalise on our USP and design, create and produce market leading and innovative products that enables us to maximise sales in our chosen markets. Your other responsibilities will be to:
• Benchmark and research current / future trends, designing products for new/different/emerging markets (including charities).
• To take initial ideas & concepts all the way to sample stage.
• Attend relevant shows exhibitions and produce trend reports
• Competitor analysis including trend reports on at least 6 High Street visits annually.
• Support in the design delivery of innovative and commercial products and charity projects in line with trend reports & sales feedback.
