The role
As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, your job is to support the delivery of a full range of building projects working closely with our in-house sales, developer and asset management clients. You will be ensuring we achieve best value for all of our internal Building and Construction work. Within your responsibilities you will provide cost estimates for refurbishment and fit-out works to our buildings and undertake valuations and manage cost variances during the construction stage. Your other responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring successful delivery of suite refurbishment schemes.
- Assisting the delivery of refurbishments in line with the sales and letting plan.
- Ensuring all works are procured in line with the Company procurement strategy.
- Prepare cost estimates for internal and external refurbishment along with customer fit-outs. Benchmarking Analysis Tender Returns.
- Preparation of Tender Documents, tender analysis and reporting, management of driving value and producing Contract Documents.
- Agreeing and certifying Valuations.
- Cash flow forecasting and managing project budgets.
- Control and reporting of cost variances and agreement of Final Accounts.
Requirements
- You will have a Quantity Surveying degree (minimum 2:1)
- Working towards your APC
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Negotiation skills
- Good team working skills
- Flexibility and creativity
- A thorough approach and attention to detail
- An ability to focus on customer service and build business relationships
- Microsoft Office skills
