The Overview

British Gas need a SAP ISU/CRM Developer to join their fast paced Core System SAP Application Development Team in Staines. Joining the Billing Team working within a delivery focused environment is responsible for designing, developing and supporting innovative solutions across the extensive SAP IS-U and SAP CRM landscape.

The role is a key part of the Core SAP Application Development working within Billing Function supporting British Gas Residential and Business SAP ISU and CRM systems

·  Salary - £45,000 - £55,000 with bonus, pension and flexible benefits

The Role

·  Be a key part of the Core SAP Application Development working predominantly in the ISU/CRM technical area
·  As the SAP technical developer you will be responsible for the end to end delivery of code into production
·  Understand the complex and critical Billing and Pricing processes that SAP CRM and IS-U support for Energy
·  Responsible for developing high quality and efficient technical solutions
·  Have a keen eye for quality ensuring governance, documentation, best practices and coding standards are followed and the quality is adhered to
·  Support various Test phases within the project
·  Provide production support when required
·  Responsible for developing high quality and efficient ABAP code whilst working within an Waterfall or Agile development environment
·  Have a keen eye for quality ensuring governance, documentation, best practices and coding standards are followed and the quality is adhered to
·  Support various Test phases within the project
·  Provide production support when required
·  Engage with and build lasting and trusting relationships within the organisation and immediate team members
·  You will need to establish a strong command of the existing application architecture, code base, enterprise integration and delivery methods as well as building a strong network of contacts within the scrum and the Project
·  Responsible for end to end delivery into production
·  Manage, plan and prioritise tasks to achieve agreed deadlines and meet user requirements

Technical skills we need from you:

·  Technical experience in ISU/CRM (Supporting Products, Pricing (IPC – Internet Pricing and Configuration) and Billing )
·  Experience within Object Orientated Programming, Classic ABAP skills, BSP (Component Workbench, "Context", GENIL/BOL Browsers, Role Concepts and BDocs, Client UI Components (including WEB UI)
·  Understanding of SAP CRM Middleware processes such as BDoc modelling, XIF interfaces, administration processes and migration/synchronisation processes
·  Good understanding of CRM data model and integration with IS-U, Well versed with SAP CRM 7.0
·  Use of enhancement tools to configure UI objects and component sets
·  Thorough SAP ISU/CRM knowledge of Client UI Components, Presentation Layer, Business Layer Components and Business Engine Components
·  Good CRM base customisation to include Business Partner, transaction management, activity management and product configuration
·  Experience in Custom Adapter Objects
·  Strong technical skills to enable writing an application design to detailed design
