Army Trainee Specialists
GET IN. GET ON.
Did you know The Army have all sorts of roles available? From Warehouse Distribution roles, helping to pick, pack and delivery everything the Army needs, to Communication Engineers ensuring we have flawless networks and IT systems. You could be a Translator, helping to create fluid communication links or a Mapping & Planning Specialist mapping disaster relief plans or top secret environments. You could even be a Business Administrator ensuring all our comrades are taken care of. And then of course, there are always our Solider, Guardsman and Tank Crewman roles available. Whatever role you choose you’ll get fit, achieve real, transferable qualifications, pick up valuable skills and make friends for life - all while travelling the world.
Chances are, you’re already right for any of these roles - you just need the ambition and drive to make a difference - all while earning a decent wage.
GET SKILLS
From honing your admin skills to ensuring communication in the field is uninterrupted, you’ll pick up a whole host of expertise that are completely transferable to civilian life whatever role you choose. You’ll get to travel the world experiencing different cultures while enjoying a rewarding job with plenty of responsibility.
GET TRAINING
You’ll start with basic training (20 weeks at Harrogate for those aged 16 years 6 months to 17 years 5 months, 14 weeks at Pirbright for those aged 17 years to 32 years 11 months). After that it’s on to your specialist training depending on the role you choose.
GET QUALIFIED
The Army will support you to gain valuable qualifications. These could include:
- HGV licences
- NCQ and/or QCF Apprentice qualifications
- CIPD
- CIMA
- You could even work towards a Masters, BSc or BA
GET PROMOTED
We'll be behind you every step of the way as you move up the ranks. Right from the start of your training, you’ll get the support and encouragement you need to make a success of your career.
