Our Global Travel Retail (GTR) business unit is responsible for managing and distributing British American Tobacco brands to global travel retail channels, in particular duty-free airport retailers in Americas, Western Europe, Asia Pacific and EEMEA Regions. Job purpose
Being at the forefront of our business, the role of Activation & Trade Marketing Distribution is to excite shoppers to buy and customers to sell our Brands, to help achieve our growth objectives. The Group A&TMD strategy is therefore built around 3 core competencies; (1) Route to Market, (2) Brand Activation and (3) Customer Management. These are reinforced through people’s capabilities and systems.
This role is responsible for implementing the Merchandising action plan as part of the overall brand activation plans, by location & shopper channels.
Principal Accountabilities
· On time execution of Permanent Merchandising plan to ensure optimum brand presence, visibility & customer satisfaction;
· Co-ordinate the production and delivery of permanent marketing materials to the field across geographies, according to communication & activation plans;
· Manage suppliers to ensure delivery OTIF, at highest quality with lowest cost;
· Support and develop (Along REX team) new and innovative touchpoint strategies and tools for implementation in the retail environment;
· Establish Processes, budgetary control and monitor merchandising execution to ensure optimum utilisation of resources / Highest output;
· Development and evaluation of the overall communication strategy & planning;
· Subject matter expert for the rest of marketing teams on Planogram & POSM material development, deployment & Evaluation;
· Inventory management of all POSM;
· Drive and monitor the data accuracy of merchandising related information for more robust decision making.
Essential requirements
· University degree in Business, Business Information and minimum 3-5 years in Marketing & Trade related functions;
· Good understanding of Trade Marketing & Distribution field and office operation. Brand marketing knowledge is appreciated
· Previous POSM & Merchandising roles a plus;
· Ability to influence at a number of levels as well as across functions & geographies;
· Solid understanding of retail environment;
· Ability to manage multiple activities;
· Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;
· Pro-active, creative and dynamic.
