Mechanical Design Engineer (Biomass)

Who you’ll be working for:

A leading M&E services company, specialising in the design, manufacturing, installation and maintenance of specialist renewable heating systems, based in Co Down, have a permanent opportunity for a commercial design engineer to assist in the preparation of M&E designs and associated project and lifecycle costings for renewable heating systems, such as biomass & Heat pumps etc.

What you’ll need to have:

The associated candidate would be working in conjunction with an established design team who operate with the latest Revit & GLD design software packages. Ideally, the successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience within the commercial M&E sector.
• A degree in mechanical engineering.
• Previous experience within the commercial renewable heating sector
• The ability to prepare M&E design layouts for commercial heating applications c/w pipe sizing, flow rates, pump selection and associated control strategies etc.
• The ability to prepare and develop job specific BMS control strategies to backup designs.
• Ability to work in conjunction with contracts managers to assist in the commissioning process including proofing and streamlining of control strategies.

What you’ll get in return:

• This is a full time role 8-5 Monday - Friday.
• Salary range £30 - £40k C/w company car and phone depending on relevant experience.
