Marketing Intern

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity to work in a fast developing tech start-up. The internship may potentially turn into a paid position (depending on performance).

Brainpool is an artificial intelligence start-up providing custom AI solutions with the help of its network of AI and Machine Learning experts. Members of Brainpool are PhD level scientists from top universities such as UCL, Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard. Brainpool provides companies with end-to-end AI solutions, starting from strategy development, planning and finding resources all the way to implementation.

We are looking for a bright and ambitious graduate with an interest in marketing and business development. Your main tasks will be:

1. Implementing the Brainpool marketing strategy across digital media channels such as SEO, SEM and social media channels (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter)
2. Conducting analysis on performance of digital media channels (i.e. SEO, SEM, social media), finding insights and making recommendations for our digital marketing strategy
3. Implementing our content strategy by creating and finding content to be posted across Brainpool owned channels (e.g. Brainpool blog) and third-party websites (e.g. Forbes) and amplifying this content across social media channels
4. Assisting with researching and coordinating Brainpool attendance to industry events, and other Brainpool events such as client dinners and hackathons
5.Managing communications with our network of data scientists and help us leverage the intellectual value that we have within the community
6. Interviewing top-level ML and AI experts, updating profiles and supporting us to further grow the Brainpool network
7. Matching data scientists to relevant client projects.
8. We are a start-up - so whatever random task comes up we'll want you someone who is keen to pitch in

Please note the internship is unpaid, with travel expenses paid. Our team is growing fast so there may be an opportunity for it to turn into a permanent role.

Desired profile

Qualifications are less important that a positive attitude and drive. However, our ideal candidate would have the following.

1. Background in marketing (experience in digital marketing and copywriting a big plus)
2. Experience, knowledge or at least an interest in social media, SEM, SEO and managing and reviewing campaign performance
3. Ideally experience in writing blog posts and articles – or at least an interest in developing and applying this skill
