Job description

Segment

Integrated Supply & Trading
Role synopsis

The Trader Workbench (TWB) Programme is about transforming the trader's experience of interacting with IT systems with an aim of optimizing revenue-generating activities and growing their efficiency.

The workbench is a role-based framework whose benefits increase with usage: as the number of applications within the framework grows, the benefit grows too due to communication between apps. This investment in technology and Oil's front office is a multi-year, cumulative approach that builds on top of prior successes. An iterative software development approach is well suited for IST's trading community, by delivering incremental benefits rather than multi-year projects.

We are a team of diverse and multi-skilled business analysts, developers and testers all working together in a DevOps model, supporting a global user community .

You will work in an Agile/Scrum development environment, and will be expected to contribute to, and in some cases run, activities such as sprint planning, daily scrums, reviews and retrospectives. You will elicit requirements, handle user relationships, identify process change and assist with testing, project delivery and service delivery.

You will collaborate with our partners in the Trading community to analyse and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring value is delivered to them. Since we perform Behaviour Driven Development and you will produce detailed, testable scenarios, validating these with product owners and represent them in subsequent sprint meetings described above.

You will serve as a trusted advisor across Global Oil, known for your deep commercial understanding of physical and derivatives trading and grow to be an authority in relevant functional domains.

You will also join the Oil Business Analysis Function. We act as one team providing business analysis expertise to meet demand across all investment and operational activity for Global Oil.
