Role synopsis

BP's North American Gas & Power requires a Transportation Representative for coordinating timely and accurate gas scheduling nominations on a daily basis. This includes optimization and balancing on pools, transportation agreements, and customers. The position will require after-hours and weekend on-call coverage in a rotation with the team.

Key accountabilities

·  Responsible for accurate, daily nominations on various pipelines and LDC systems.
·  Ensure flow of BP equity and 3 rd party production.
·  Manage and track imbalance on pipelines.
·  Accountable for the daily and monthly updating of scheduling activity in BP's internal ETRM system.
·  Reconcile monthly pipeline invoices, ensuring that Gas Accounting is able to process statements and invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
·  Actively work with Marketing and Origination staff, sharing relevant pipeline information to effectively handle the pipeline assets and customer needs.
·  Communicate operational intelligence to commercial teams.
·  Maintain excellent working relationships with external/internal counterparts, including customers and pipeline companies.
·  Demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail and analytical skills, using advanced desktop skills (Excel, etc.).
·  Create and support efficiencies and improvements for processing large amounts of data, from multiple sources in short periods of time.
·  Participation in rotational evening and weekend rotational coverage.
Essential Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work-related experience
Desirable criteria and qualifications

·  Previous natural gas scheduling experience strongly preferred

Essential experience and job requirements

·  3+ years of industry experience with at least 2 years natural gas scheduling or relevant experience
·  Demonstrated knowledge of gas scheduling and transportation & operations
·  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
·  Solid communication skills (written and verbal)

·  Proven ability to interact across trading, marketing & origination, commodity risk, trade completion and other regional teams
