Role synopsis

Systems engineer will direct important projects across the North Business Unit that will set the model of operating efficiencies. A focus will be to work closely with Operations Engineers, Production Team Leads, and Automation team to provide nimble technology focused solutions to operation workflows. The engineer will bridge the gap between these groups to create systems that reduce human footprint in the field at the same time reducing deferment and LOE.

Key accountabilities

·  Reduce operations workflow by implementing intelligent operations
·  Leverage modern software and hardware technology to transform operations LOE
·  Integrate controlling algorithms into a diverse set of Artificial Lift types and surface equipment
·  Ability to think differently and optimize routine wellsite actions
·  Analyze and provide metrics on data reliability and controlling success
·  Program raspberry Pi or similar PLC's in central system to communicate different protocols to fully integrate with our current workflow
·  Reduce failure rate of different Artificial Lift types by system implementations
·  Focus on high impact projects to reduce field and engineering cycle time
·  Strong safety culture to lead and engage BP personnel and vendors regarding job hazards, mitigations, and stopping the job.
Essential Education

•BS degree in Engineering or Computer Science
