Our fuel terminals are at the heart of the business responsible for transporting millions of litres of fuel across the country to our 1200 forecourts.
As the shift supervisor at our Kingsbury terminal near Tamworth, you willensure the safe handling of all fuels and additives received, stored and distributed at the terminal, in line with appropriate BP Group Safety Standards and legislation. You will also supervise the maintenance of plant and equipment ensuring integrity management standards are adhered to.

Key accountabilities
As the shift supervisor you will:
· Adhere to all safety and security aspects within the terminal including engaging with operational workforce and contractors to ensure safety, efficiency and availability of plant and equipment
· Ensure stock accounting deadlines and systems are maintained and all losses and gains in excess of BP standards are investigated
· Ensure legal compliance with regulatory authorities
· Ensure the safe condition and operation of plant and equipment
· Operate computerised control room environment
· Participate in terminal group safety and daily and weekly operations meetings
· Act as the focal point out of normal working hours for all delivery drivers

Essential experience and job requirements
You will have:
· Legislation and safety awareness and knowledge.
· Knowledge of IT systems used with Logistics
· Knowledge of Logistics/Transport operations
· Knowledge of EU Drivers hours regulations
· Be familiar with emergency response equipment and procedures
· Experience or knowledge gained through a relevant degree of working with hazardous products
· Experience of working with industrial plant/processes
· Knowledge of requirements of ISO9002/14001 and of COSHH/COMAH regulations
