Role synopsis
Reporting to the Production Chemistry Team Leader the Production Chemist will provide technical assurance to operations and deliver the chemical treatment and sampling programs with the chemical provider offshore. The role will particularly be focussed on the management of subsea chemicals and delivery for Shah Deniz 2 operations.

Key accountabilities
• Ensure subsea production chemistry risks are identified and documented via the heat maps and deliver improvement plans with the CMS provider and offshore teams
• Ensure chemical products, quality and management systems are established for subsea chemical treatments and injection systems
• Work with offshore operations to resolve production chemistry related process upsets
• Ensure CMS provider maintains chemical stocks offshore to minimum levels and logistics supply plans
• Deliver and optimise the production chemistry sampling matrix
• Day to day management of the asset CMS production chemists
• Working with environmental and HSSE teams to ensure chemicals programs are in compliance with BP HSE and Azerbaijan regulatory compliance requirements
• Network with internal and external production chemistry/flow assurance experts in order to deliver best in class solutions to designated asset production chemistry problems.Personal development of national production chemists on subsea chemical injection systems

Essential experience and job requirements
• Experience in an offshore upstream production chemistry environment.
• Experience of subsea production and chemical injection systems
• Ability to demonstrate a personal commitment to HSSE.
• Knowledge of the legislative requirements relating to effluent discharge and chemical usage and discharge.Experience of working for or managing chemicals service providers including financial oversight

Desired profile
Essential Education
