Role synopsis

·  The Marketing Analyst role in BP's marketing & trading business, North America Gas & Power (NAGP), is responsible for supporting all facets of the business' external branding/marketing plan and customer excellence program. This includes developing creative content for printed materials, customer newsletters and websites/social media, provide marketing support for annual customer events, manage relevant web trend reports (including search engine optimisation updates), support customer relationship management system, provide updates to the sales teams and liaise with the broader BP Communications & External Affairs teams.
·  NAGP has evolved from a business focused on gas & power to a unique, cross-commodity model that spans global energy markets. We are the largest natural gas marketer in North America, with deep physical expertise across all regions, optimizing assets for producers and consumers alike from Western Canada to Southeast U.S. and into Mexico. We have a robust power offer, serving retail energy providers, generators and private equity firms, among others. We have an expanding global natural gas liquids business with a presence in London and Singapore; and we are a registered swap dealer under Dodd-Frank, offering risk management solutions to our customers around the world.
·  In addition to supporting NAGP's broad marketing agenda, the Marketing Analyst will help to develop robust marketing and trading messages for the North America region, incorporating key aspects of the oil and products supply and trading business led out of Chicago.
·  Finally, BP's global marketing and trading business, Integrated Supply and Trading (IST), has six businesses around the world focused on delivering physical and financial solutions to our customers. The Marketing Analyst will support the team in sharing best practices and advancing the broader IST branding/marketing agenda.

Key accountabilities

·  Create content for printed materials (brochures), weekly customer newsletters, bp.com external websites, intranet site, customer presentations and social media posts
·  Support event planning for annual customer events
·  Manage relevant web trend reports (including search engine optimisation updates)
·  Support customer relationship management system
·  Help to organize routine updates for sales teams, locally and in regional offices
·  Liaise with the broader BP Communications & External Affairs teams, including Digital Media, Communications, and Brand
·  Provide best practice guidance and recommendations to the team to help advance the broader IST branding/marketing agenda.
Essential Education

Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Essential experience and job requirements

·  Familiarity with B2B branding/marketing programs
·  Familiarity in energy marketing and trading business (natural gas, power, natural gas liquids, structured products)
·  Experience with marketing, competitor intelligence and/or customer segmentation/analysis
·  Strong communications skills, written and verbal
·  Strong analytical skills, attention to detail
·  Ability to work independently as well as on team projects across regions
·  Familiarity with customer relationship management systems, Microsoft Office suite of tools and database management
