Role synopsis
To control the inventory within the Baton Rouge cluster through the daily performance and analysis of cycle counts and production control methods. To reconcile daily production and blend orders and to confirm the accuracy of shipping and receiving activities. To investigate discrepancies in the hand-held system, reconcile differences against on-hand balances in JDE and report hand-held usage deficiencies to appropriate supervisors.

Key accountabilities
· Inventory Planning Analyst will manage all third party produced items stored at and shipped from the Baton Rouge Plant cluster, and will manage the execution of the plant physical inventory.
· This role will be directly accountable for managing the plant & local outside warehouse inventories to ensure they are accurate at all times, which includes researching variances and discrepancies as needed.
· Report and manage disposition of the NSP inventory, both in-house and within the Baton Rouge Area.
· Collect data and generate various reports concerning shipping and receiving activities, as required, for KPI tracking, the MOR, and for use by key stakeholders.
· Conduct ad hoc analysis related to warehouse efficiency including velocity slotting, optimizing flow, and implement the required changes.
· Manage Cycle Counts, reconciliation, and reporting of same per Cycle Count Schedule.
· Perform required inventory adjustments after research into the cause of a discrepancy in the Hand Held System.
· Assure compliance with all HSSE Legal and other requirements. Provides oversight for HSSE compliance tasks assigned to the team and responsible for completing assigned HSSE Compliance tasks effectively and for reporting any potential or actual non-compliance issues.
Essential Education
· Bachelor's Degree is required.
Desirable criteria and qualifications
· Works with the Plant Facilitators, SLI Coordinators, Sr. Procurement Coordinator, Sr. Production Coordinator, Planning and Distribution Manager and Plant Material Handlers to resolve shipping demand and inventory conflicts.
· Maintains close contact with the Customer Fulfillment Facilitator to insure that proper inventory control levels of finished goods are available to meet customer requirements.
· Maintains close relationship with all plant teams in monitoring activities, assuring accuracy of reporting, and maintaining proper documentation to meet customer requirements.
· Close contact with the S&D Warehouse Facilitator to ensure that all shipments are managed effectively.

· 3+ years relevant experience in inventory planning
· An organized, self-starter that possesses good record keeping skills.
· Ability to make good business decisions while working in a dynamic business environment.
· Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Strong communication skills both written and oral.
· Have the ability and the desire to excel within a TEAM based organization.
· Computer Skills:
· AS/400 mainframe proficiency
· JD Edward's interfaces with AS/400 (menu navigation, world writer report generation)
· Showcase software
· Must have above average skills in Microsoft Excel
