Role synopsis

The Air BP GSD programme team works with the local PU/in-country teams and, where applicable, with the local Fuels business to support the transformation required to implement the GSD template. The Air BP GSD Logistics Analyst works closely with the Air BP Global Supply and Logistics network and the Sales and Marketing team to understand, develop and assure key business processes and ensure fit to the GSD Global template. This will include working with the Air BP GSD team analysts for Supply/Supply Finance, Purchase to Pay, Order to Cash and Management Information. The role will formally be part of the Global Air BP GSD Programme team.

Key accountabilities

·  Working with the Air BP Supply and Logistics managers globally and in country to analyse and define As-Is Supply and Logistics processes and scenarios.
·  As Is process mapping – including the supply chains and scenarios and then similarly the production of To Be process maps
·  Defining process changes and impact on local business and, where appropriate, the business case for variation to the GSD template and associated applications such as TAS and WinDMS.
·  Recommending and implementing appropriate simplifications, standardisation and enhancements to processes.
·  Working with the GSD Design Leads and Solution Analysts to accurately define requirements where template variation is agreed to be required
·  Supporting the local business in championing the GSD template and processes with third parties such as hauliers and terminal companies.
·  Managing the collation of data required for the Logistics data objects, taking a pragmatic approach to the scope and the prioritisation of data in support of the testing cycles.
·  Assessment of Change Requests (CRs) related to Supply and Logistics and their business impact.
·  User acceptance testing of SAP template changes and supporting readiness for go-live.
·  Definition of Supply and Logistics' Management Information requirements and supporting the MI Analyst in their delivery (functional spec, testing, UAT and release to Production).
Key challenges faced on the role

The successful applicant will need to be able to explore and question how value is generated and captured across the supply chain and be able to suggest changes to maximise value capture. Key challenges will be:

·  Managing the priorities which arise from undertaking multiple parallel deployments
·  Working against demanding and sometimes conflicting deadlines Engaging stakeholders in the business to embrace the template processes and associated change

GSD is a tightly integrated ERP solution with multiple dependencies between different process areas e.g. S&L and Order to Cash. The job there impacts many team members, partner teams (in IBM, the Air BP business, and the Fuels GSD teams). Timely delivery is critical both in terms of the overall project deliverables and smooth ongoing operation of the in-flight Air BP PUs and businesses.
